I think everyone should make a habit of affirming themselves in this way.It feels weird at first, because it feels like we&#039;re lying to ourselves.  However, I&#039;ve come to realize that these things, if we affirm them, are absolutely true!  The only reason we feel cognitive dissonance about it is that we have been lying to ourselves before: believing that we can&#039;t have love or prosperity or peace because of our past choices, appearance, or circumstances.
