Hey, thanks for sharing those examples. I think everyone should make a habit of affirming themselves in this way.
It feels weird at first, because it feels like we’re lying to ourselves. However, I’ve come to realize that these things, if we affirm them, are absolutely true! The only reason we feel cognitive dissonance about it is that we have been lying to ourselves before: believing that we can’t have love or prosperity or peace because of our past choices, appearance, or circumstances. In reality, we define prosperity by what we choose to give others, we win love by how we choose to love others, and we secure peace by how we choose to forgive others.
